 Now that we've ascertained that you're looking for broadband
for your business, it's very likely you'll need one of our 'CORP' packages. Before we look at the packages in detail,
there are two other questions we need to address: symmetry and contention.
Symmetry refers to the capability of uploading at the same speed as downloading, which could be important if,
for instance, your company pushes a lot of files out to the internet or if external people access your servers in
order to pull files (or buy goods) from them. One day, all broadband will be like this, but for now at least it's rare
in this country. BT exchanges offering this service will not appear in our region of the country for several years, and
then only in the largest towns. We can offer it now.
Contention refers to the sharing of your connection with other internet users on our network. Our 'CORP'
business packages are managed to provide an equivalent to a very low contention ratio of 10:1, but for those
businesses that require exclusivity, we can offer dedicated, 1:1 lines.
